Thanks to new spammer efforts they are now using my request system to send me upwards of
60,000 'requests' a day that are just spams for every scam they operate - even virus attempts.
What hair-brained bozo would think I'd buy pills from someone stealing from my server and sending
me 100's of thousands of emails a week? They appear to be trying to use my request form to spam to
others as well with some success but I am getting 10's of thousands of bounce-backs that I did not
send out every hour so not all are making it!
Since this is an automated system, these 'requests' come in, are found to not have a theme request
in them so a comment is mailed to the phoney address which is bounced back. That means my server is
busy processing over 180,000 emails a day that have nothing to do with theme requests. The real problem
is the virus load attempts - but most are not just attempts - many are successful! Thanks to McAfee
and Windows Defender all have been caught and destroyed so far. I can't take any more chances. I will
be looking for new form methods, that maybe I can host on my own RedHat or Unix box that these scum can't
tear up my system with. I can't do anything more at this time but shut down. It's been a fun 10 years
I will still be monitoring alt.binaries.sounds.tv-themes - but email to wavethemes.org will be shut down and not processed.
